Because keeping your stem slammed is essential for gravity riding, ENVE makes a High Rise Downhill Bar that doubles the rise of their regular DH stick. No need to play with spacers.
The rise is 46mm vs. the relatively minimal 23mm. Reflecting the higher rise, they also increased the width by 10mm to 810mm total. There are cut lines screened onto the bar to allow you to easily reduce the width to a narrow 740mm if you choose. They keep the sweep at nine-degrees, and the max clamp width is still the direct mount-friendly 58mm.
The added rise and width adds some weight. 29g to be exact, or 264g for an uncut bar. It’s still pretty light. And strong, thanks to the 100% uni-directional carbon utilized in a proprietary lay-up.
The ENVE High Rise Downhill Bar sits you up more for steeper drops.
